Description

Gigalight’s mechanical optical switch provides channel selection between one input fiber and two output fibers. With a special design, the component uses a movable prism and a mirror to implement its switching functions. The switches have hermetic packaging which provides high reliability and qualify GR-1221-CORE. Directly mountable on printed circuits boards, the Gigalight’s mechanical optical switch is equipped with status contacts to provide an electrical readout of the switch position.
