D section is available in 3 thicknesses: 3.0mm for general purpose, 3.5mm for security purpose and 4.0mm for special order. It is best suited to sites requiring a boundary with forbidding appearance and general damage resistance.

W section is available in 3 thicknesses: 2.0mm for general purpose,2.5mm for security purpose and 3.0mm for special order. It gives extra protection over D section and is also stronger by the fact that the fixing bolt/rivet head is not exposed on the attack of the fence.
