[Indications]
Tulathromycin Injectable Solution is indicated for the treatment of swine respiratory disease (SRD) associated with Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica and Haemophilus parasuis.
[Pharmacological Actions]
Tulathromycin, the active ingredient of Tulathromycin Injectable Solution, is a novel antimicrobial from the triamilide class, developed by Pfizer scientists specifically for swine respiratory disease. Tulathromycin provides excellent clinical efficacy against key bacterial pathogens that cause complex swine respiratory disease.
[Dosage and Administration]
The recommended dose is single dose of 2.5 mg/kg (1 mL/88lb) administrated Intramuscularly in the neck of swine.  The total dosage of per injection site should not exceed 2.5mL.
[Precautions]
Intramuscular injection can cause a transient local tissue reaction that may result in trim loss of edible tissue at slaughter.
In one field study, 1 out of 40 pigs treated with Tulathromycin at 2.5 mg/kg BW exhibited mild salivation that resolved in less than 4 hours. The use of Tulathromycin Injectable Solution is contraindicated in animals previously found to be hypersensitive to the drug.
