2. Specification:
Properties(PER): White crystal powder without any visible foreign matters.
Soluble in water, slightly soluted in alcohol, dissolvable in benzene, ether and petroleum ether etc.
Esters will be formed by reaction with common organic acid.
No reaction take place when Pentaerythritol (PER) is heated with dilute caustic solution.

3. Usage:
(1) It is used in the manufacture of Alkyd resins, fatty acid resin, tall oil esters, paint and coatings.
(2) Also used for printing ink, coating adhesives, explosives, sealants, varnish, lacquer.
(3) Widely used for vinyl chloride, synthetic rubber and miscellaneous including pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN).
(4) Used in urethane coatings, flame retardant paints, polyvinyl chloride stabilizers, olefins antioxidant and pentaerythritol triacrylate.
