Duo cone seals are special form of mechanical seals. They are also known under other designations, such as floating seals, Duo Cone Mechanical Seal, Mechanical Face Seals, Seal Groups, lifetime seals, toric seals and heavy duty face seals, which consist of two identical metal seal rings which seal against each other on a lapped seal face.
