Appearance: Paraffin-like, primrose to yellowish green, crystal solid. Gravity: 1.82, melting point: 44.1℃, boiling point: 280℃. With garlic odor, becomes dark under light, combusts spontaneously in air, soluble in benzene, in carbon bisulfide and in chloroform, slightly soluble in ether, insoluble in water. Both elementary phosphorus and its smoke are very toxic so that it must be stored and immersed in water for storage.

It also can be used in producing Matches, Dyes Agent, Perfumes, and other industrial phosphates.
