The FPX5200 is the perfect balance of features that a moderating club or mobile DJ expects from a budget rack mixer, and brings the sophistication of mixer design experience to the DJ world. Two dedicated microphone channels, both equipped with Gain control, 3-band EQs and an on-air switch, make announcements and presentations comfortable, and an automatic talkover function with adjustable damping makes multi-host moderation or interviews easy, even if performing away from the mixer with a wireless microphone. Equipped with 5 stereo channels, it sports 3-band Kill-style EQs which allow a great degree of damping for total tonal control, and offer an EQ on/off switch for stunning effects. Precise, 5-LED input level metering in each stereo channel helps to get the setting of the input gain control right. A smooth 60mm channel fader based on a sophisticated dual rail mechanical design makes any mix a breeze. Each channel can be assigned to a comprehensive PFL section which allows both split pre-listening as well as stereo mix (PFL/Master) pre-listening. The headphone output has a high-current power amplifier and allows undistorted pre-listening even in noisy environments. Two headphone sockets are provided in the popular 6.3mm and 3.5mm formats. To facilitate mixing, a build-in dual DSP automatic beat counter offers help in understanding the speed of music both assigned to the left and right side of the crossfader. For complex rhythm structures that the automatic BPM engine can not detect properly, manual tap assisting is available. All input channels can be assigned to the smooth 45mm crossfader which is based on the same dual rail mechanical design as the channel faders, and which features an adjustable curve from sharp switching-like behavior to smooth fading. For DJs who prefer to work without crossfader, the crossfader can be disabled. For outstanding audio quality in mobile and installed systems, the main output is equipped with electronic balancing on two XLR connectors. The in-built active crossover with adjustable crossover frequency and subwoofer level delivers the next step to better sound without need for any further equipment.
