Sintered NdFeB is a permanent-magnet material developed in 1983 with main component of Nd2Fe14B. It is a permanent-magnet material with the highest magnetic property.
Sintered NdFeB has high magnetic property, its (BH) max is 5 to 12 times higher than Sintered Ferrite, 3 to 10 times higher than Alnico Magnet. Its coercive force is 5 to 10 times higher than Sintered Ferrite, 5 to 15 times higher than Alnico Magnet. Its potential magnetic property can reach to 527KJ/m3 (66MGOe), and it can attract an object which is 640 times of its own weight.
But it has common temperature performance. It has large magnetic loss under high temperature. Its maximum temperature is 80°C. The magnet without special treatment has a maximum work temperature of 180°C.
It contains a large amount of Fe and Rb. It is easier to be corroded. So it shall be coated with Ni, Zn, Ni+Cu+Ni, color Zn, Au, Epoxy, etc.
The applicable volume of this material can be reduced by more than 5 times of Sintered Ferrite. It is mainly used in motor, DVD head, loudspeaker, electric tools, electric switch, toy, suction products, etc.
