Hot melt adhesives are solvent, thermoplastic and 100% solid at room temperature. By the process of simple cooling it achieves solid state, as compared to other adhesives, which attain the same results through the process of evaporation or removal of the solvents. However, at high temperatures they become a low viscosity fluid with excellent adhesive properties. The usual operating temperature hot melt adhesives are in the range of 175 to 205°C.
