Properties: It is a kind of white granule with heavy irritant odor. Sp. Gr. (solid)1.48, m. P., 52.8, b. P 200(760mmHg), also readily sublimates. It is soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone and slightly soluble in petroleum ether, carbon tetrachloride. It is soluble in water, forming maleic acid.
Application:
Maleic anhydride is mainly used to produce the unsaturated polyester resin, in addition, it can be applied in the production of paint, ink, the additive of lubrication oil, agriculture chemical, paper-making chemical, the finishing agent of the textile, surfactant, etc. A series of important basic and fine chemical products (such as 1, 4-butyl -glycol, & gamma; -butyrolactone, tetrahydrofuran, fumaric acid and tetra-hydride PA) can be produced when Maleic anhydride is used as the raw material.

Package and storage: Packed in braided bag, lined with a polyethylene bag, N. W. 25kg each, stored in a cool, dry and fluent air place. Handling with care and gently, preventing from rain. Storage life is one year from date of production.
