Properties

1. It is a kind of white granule with heavy irritant odor. Also readily sublimates.

2. It is soluble in alcohol, ether, acetone and slightly soluble in petroleum ether, carbon tetrachloride.

3. It is soluble in water, forming maleic acid.

Application

1. Manufacture of unsaturate polyester resin, alkyd resin, insulate paint, plasticicer, maleic acid, malaic acid and tartaric acid, etc.

2. It can be used antiseptic agent, also serve as the raw materials of medicine, paint, glass steel
