Properties: white granular solids or strips, usually made into flakes. Can easily

absorb water and carbon dioxide in the air. It has strong corrosiveness. 1g

sodium hydroxide dissolve in  0.9ml cool water,0.3ml water, 7.2ml anhydrous

alcohol, 4.2ml methyl alcohol and also can dissolve in glycerol. When

dissolved in water ,ethanol, heat can be produced. So do acids mix with

sodium hydroxide solution. It’s strong alkaline solution.

Storage: seal and keep in dry place

Preventive measure: store in drafty and dry place with seal packages.

Be separated and transported from acids, ammonium or inflammables.

When contact with skin (eyes), wash with flowing water, once swallowed

by mistake ,gargle with water ,drink milk. Egg white (or other alkaline which is

no harm to body)
