Construction:
Lithopone consisted with two mixed elements of BaSO4 and ZnS, which are not in a mode
of being separated in coating.BaSO4 has a structure of diamond crystal, while Zns cubic or
hexagon crystal.
Equation: ZnSO4 (solution) +BaS (solution) =ZnSBaSO4
Properties:
Compared with ZnS, lithopone is widely used in many fields. Though the lithopone has
same chemical structure with ZnS, it is less durable and resistance pulverability. Rely on the
cheap price, it has been most likely used instead of titanium dioxide.
