Introduction: Continuous strands applied with reinforcing type sizing or water-dispersed type sizing are chopped into certain length.

 

Type: pre-mixed and water-dispersed; chopped length: 4-30mm.

1.       pre-mixed chopped strand

properties: It has excellent properties with alkali resistance, high stiffenss, good integrity and ageing-proof. It can keep a good integrity and does not disperse into filaments after mixed 20 minutes in cement at 50rpm.

Application: It is a high integrity AR glass fiber chopped strand designed for use in the reinforcements of concrete, renders and mortars. It may be added to conventional mixes either on site or by preblending with other dry mix components. The low-tex strand permits efficient reinforcement at low dosages. They are particularly suited to the modification of standard concrete mixes for floor screeds and slabs, and for the preparation of prebagged mixes of special mortars and renders.

 

2.       Water-dispersed chopped strand

Properties: Applied with water-dispersed size, the strand will disperse well to filaments in water in 10 seconds, and also disperse fast, applying amount less, enlarge strength..

Application: It is typically used in a small amount to prevent cracking and to improve the performance of ready mix concreted, gypsum or other special mortar mixes. It can be used for surface crack-proof of GRC products.
