Propolis is a resinous mixture that honey bees collect from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources. It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive.

Propolis is a gelatinous substance processed by bees mixed with resin from spore, bark and secretion from its lingual and wax glands. Bees use propolis to paste comb and nest and make their house sterilized.
