Brown aluminium oxide is electrically fused in an arc furnace from a mixture of bauxite at high temperature. It has brown colour, high hardness and great toughness. The abrasives tools made of brown aluminium oxide are suitable for steel, malleable cast iron and hard bronze. It used for refractory aluminium oxide lining mixture, pouring materials castable, etc.

(1)It can make the abrasive tool such as the emery wheel,emery cloth,etc.

(2)It also usually used for sandblasting.

(3)It can be used in grinding and polishing the metal, glass,leather and so on.

(4)It can be used in making the superior refractory products.
