Add a small amount of cerium to silver and form silver cerium alloy AgCe(0.5). AgCe(0.5) alloy show fine arain, increased strength, improved resisitance against contact welding and higher electrical wear-resisitant. At the same time, AgCe(0.5) alloy has advantages of high conductivity, low contact resisitance.
AgCe(0.5) contacts are usually used under 10A current low-voltage devices, such as general purpose relay, thermal protector, timers. Almost all occasions of pure silver applications can be replaced by them.
