AgNi materials have good conductivity and resistance to contact welding, can be used under lowcontact pressure. Compared with the silver-copper alloy, AgNi materials have a lower and more stable contact resistance. The property of resistance to arc erosion is improved with increasing Ni content, but also increasing in contact resistance.
AgNi/Cu contact are mainly used in low- and middle-load switches, micro-relays, as well as the small load of contacts, AC circuit breakers.
