Main Application:
Ammonium Chloride is used in textile printing, in plywood glue, in solder as flux or in cleaning the tip of a soldering iron and in cleaning products. In foods it is used as a feed supplement for cattle and as a nutritive media for yeast. In certain countries sal ammoniac is used to flavor vodka and to spice up liquorice type of dark candies. Ammonium chloride may cause vomiting and nausea as it is irritating to the gastric mucosa.
