CTFA Nomenclature: Polyvinypyrrolidone(Abbreviated to PVP)
Physical properties: Exists as white or milky white powder, and colorless or slight yellow transparent liquid. It can dissolve in water, alcohol, isopropanlol or chloroform, not in acetone or diethyl ether, polymers having molecular weight under 30000 can excreted by the human kidney.
