Sodium amyl xanthate is a powerful collector with strong selectivity ,widely used in the flotation processes of nonferrous metallic minerals.
 
It is a good collector for the flotation of oxide minerals,e.g. oxidized sulfide,copper and lead ores.Copper nickel sulfide and auriferous pyrite etc also riquire potassium amyl xanthate as flotation collector.

It can also get satisfactory results when used in Lea oxide copper ores. Commonly used in the process of rough floatation and scavenging flotation.
