THK-E8230T is a new and big equipment for FTTH access for Telecom Operator. Compared with other EPON products, it’s the ideal FTTH solution for the last 1 km with higher access bandwidth, more end users and less economical running and investing cost. It features not only the high integration, reliability, flexibility but also with QoS control, manageability and expandability for the network
THK-E8230T integrates the latest EPON system based on IEEE802.3ah standard. Its up (down) running speed motion of light is up to 1.25Gb/s. Optical splitter, with a maximum 32 connected with each PON port and 32 distant ONU equipments consist of passive optical network transmitting Ethernet Data. It is with the characteristics of large data transfer, good privacy, flexible network consisting, saving fiber optic resources and CPE (Central Point Equipment).
Using FTTH/FTTB/FTTC fiber optical network, THK-E8230T, a kind of high-performance equipment, can provide the transmission platform with a max. speed of 1Gbps. Meanwhile, because of the intrinsic advantage of fiber optic network, operators can provide high speed internet access and high speed broadband IP data service transportation like IPTV multicast/ unicast and so on, with a economical cost and cable investigation.
OLT, ONU and Splitter compose this system. Of which,a plug-in card of OLT provides 4 IP upmotion portS along with 4 EPON downmotion ports. As each port is available for connecting with 32 splitters, each OLT supports 128 ONU users. Its transmission distance could be up to 20km and only 1U height makes it easy to install.
