Slip and elevator groove instead of lift subs and safety clamps are designed to cut drill collar handling time. The technical parameters for elevator groove and slip groove is drifted API Spec7-1. Hard banding is optional at customers’ request. Extreme care is taken to machine smooth radii free of tool marks.
