PCB Metal domes:

Our metal domes are momentary switch contacts that, when used in conjunction with a printed circuit board, flex circuit, or membrane, become normally-open tactile switches. Metal domes are placed on the printed circuit board by means of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape or they are captured in a pocket design. In their relaxed state, the metal domes rest on the outer rim of the primary pathway. When pushed, the domes collapse and make contact with the secondary pathway, thereby closing the circuit. Many different shapes and actuation forces are available in order to fit your specific application. They can be used for electrical contact, tactile-element only, or both electrical and tactile.

The metal domes are provided with continuity, good feeling and so on. Many different shapes and actuation forces of metal domes are available in order to fit your specific application. They can be used for contact or tactile-element only. Full product range with various choices in shapes from round, oblong, triangle to four leg.

In addition to our wide range of standard tactile metal domes, we also offer the ability to design any custom metal dome your application may need. Whether you need a custom size, shape, actuation force, or travel, we will work within your design constraints to provide the exact metal dome for your application.
