Like the die struck hard enamel pins, first a die is created and this creates the outline and impressions of the design. The recessed areas are then filled with a synthetic liquid paint. Each colour must be separated by raised ridges so the paint doesn't flow together. Once the colouring is done, the pins are then fired in a kiln. All raised areas are then hand polished using the same technique dating back to the 13th century. The pin is then plated with the desired finish. This produces a pin of the highest quality with a jewel like finish. These pins make a very impressive statement.

Because of their jewel like appearance. These pins can be colour filled to produce a wide range of effects. Soft enamel pins have a very high perceived value and are the choice of sports groups and many business people.
