The rated capacity of the above combined circulating unit is 66.9MW. Rated capacity of gas turbine Pratt&Whitney is 50.9MW (USA), and rated capacity of back-end steam turbine manufactured in China is 16MW. Since this units main function was grid peak adjustment, its total operation hours are only 12500, and accumulative starting times are 2000. Its last generating time was Dec. 2007. Whole unit has been kept in good condition up to now. The FT8-1 unit can use diesel oil or natural gas as generating fuel, and also has black start capability, i.e. starting without outside power. Unit has module structure; its mechanical, electrical, boiler equipment as well as all other auxiliaries used for normal generating operation can be relocated and assembled in other place within 3 months.
FT8-1 gas turbine combined circulating unit, owned by Electric Power Co., Ltd, has the total rated capacity of 66.9MW and the generation efficiency of 47.5%. The gas turbine could use dual fuel of oil and gas, which could be changed online. The unit, equipped with black-start and isolated land operation model, could provide strong emergency power guarantee for the area with unreasonable power structure and relatively weak power networks.
The unit, put into operation in March of 1996 for regulating peak load, has run for 12,500 hours totally and its accumulative starting times are 2000 up to now. In October of 2007, 18 million RMB (1.06 million USD used for the body) has been invested to transform the unit for dual fuel operation and its total operation hours are 90 only after worth.
The back-end parts, waste heat boiler and steam turbine, were built and put into commercial operation in 1996. The waste heat boiler, a dual pressure non-complementally burning natural-circulation , is a support item of FT8 gas turbine combined circulating unit. The steam turbine has the features of dual-pressure steam admission, axial flow and reaction.
The whole unit kept in good maintenance conditions has sound performance features and its last generation time was December of 2007.
