1: Insert the SD card

2: Put the switch button on “ON” position, so the CDV is in the status of power on. When the blue indicator light is lighting all the time, CDV is in standby mode; the screen showed “WELCOME” while starting up.

Note:

1)Encoding format of SD card file is: FAT32

2)The product shuts down automatically 3 minutes after turned on without doing any operation.

3: Camera Shooting

(1): Manual Camera Shooting: Press the recording button when the machine is on, then the blue indicator light starts flashing continuously, which indicates that the recording is on. Press the recording button again to stop recording.

   Note:

   1)Make sure the motion detection switch is on “OFF” position when records manually.

   2)CDV has an automatic cover feature. The system automatically covers previous records data when the memory card is full, and there is no situation with memory card fully used.

(2): Motion Detection Recording: Put the motion detection switch in position “on” when the machine is on. Meanwhile, the motion detection indicator green light is lighting all the time;

Ⅰ: Under the motion detection mode, CDV automatically enters the state of recording when there are objects moving within the range 3m around the camera; CDV continue records when there are objects continuously moving within the range of video.

Ⅱ: CDV automatically enters standby mode when no object moves more than 15seconds during recording process, and saves the video data of object moving process;

Ⅲ: CDV actives recording function again when there are objects appear in the video range again;

Note

1)Under motion detection mode, the machine automatically saves data when there is no object moving. Please do not shut off the power during the process of blue light flashing (recording function is on). Data cannot be saved if turn off the power by force..

2)Under the state of motion detection continuously recording, the machine automatically saves video data every 5 minutes. (The system default automatically saves data every 5 minutes. The interval time of saving can be selected in the menu)

4: CDV automatically saves the data when the video ends

   Note

1)During recording, if power was shut off by force and the recording was not stopped at first, the previous video data cannot be saved.

2)Under long time recording process, the machine automatically saves video data every 5 minutes. (The system default automatically saves data every 5 minutes. The interval time of saving can be selected in the menu)

5: Photograph

   In standby mode, photograph function can be achieved by pressing camera button directly.

   Press the camera button and the blue indicator light flash once, which indicates the photographing is success.

The picture taking mode supports digital zoom. Toggle “MODE” button up/down can adjust camera focal.

6: Starting and Camera Shooting

   CDV supports the function of recording while the machine is turn on:

   Ⅰ: When CDV power switch is in “ON” position, motion detection switch is in “OFF” position and connected with car inverter or power adapter, the machine automatically opens the recording function;

CDV automatically saves video data and shuts off when disconnects with car inverter or power adapter, (If user needs to manually turn on CDV after automatic shutoff, he only needs to tap recording button, then the CDV will be turned on and in standby mode. At that time it is in battery supply status).

During recording, tap recording button stops recording; Repress recording button actives recording again (Similar with manual function in this step )

    CDV automatically turned on and actives recording when reconnected with car inverter or power adapter;

   Ⅱ: When CDV power switch is in “ON” position, motion detection switch is in “ON” position and connected with car inverter or power adapter, the machine automatically enter motion detection standby mode;

   CDV maintains in motion detection mode when disconnected with car inverter or power adapter;

 

   Note:

1)While using function of recording with machine turned on, make sure the power switch stays in “ON” position in order to guarantee data be saved when power off;

2)During recording, video data can be automatically saved every 5 minutes;

3)When the power switch is off, CDV can also records if connected with car inverter of power adapter, but video less than 5 minutes cannot be saved; 

TV output function can be achieved by using random distributed AV-OUT data line:

1．Connect the other end of AV-OUT data line, which has already been connected with CDV, with TV audio and video input connector (white for video, red for audio), then long timely press MODE button to enter video playback interface under the standby mode;

2．The video playback interface is motionless image. Press MODE button shortly to play video;

3．In the motionless interface of video playback, after choosing image that needs to be played by toddling up/down, press MODE button shortly to play;

4．While viewing photos, photos can be enlarged by pressing MODE button;

5．In the playback interface, pressing camera button can switch back to photo taking mode; pressing recording button shortly can switch back to recording mode.

  Note:

1)         After plugging in AV cable, display in LCD screen will switch to TV. At that time, there is no display on the LCD screen. LCD screen display resumes if unplug the AV cable later.

After starting up the CDV, press the MODE button while it is at standby mode. Then the LCD will show two sets of menu: Video-output menu and Settings menu. Camera button corresponds to the options of Video-output, while video-button corresponds to the options of Settings; push the up/down button to select an option the settings of which you would like to alter.

In the process of setting, you can press the MODE button briefly to confirm your settings, on the contrary, you can press the MODE button for loner time to quit the menu.

Video-output:

At the menu mode, press the Photo button to select:

1. Size: To set the image and video resolution, press the MODE button briefly to enter the menu, then push up/down button to select the resolution you want . ( The default resolution is 640 x480.  )  Then, press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

2. EV: To set the brightness of the image, press the MODE button briefly to enter the menu, then push up/down button to select the mode you want. ( The default setting is +0.0.)  Press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

3. White Balance: To improve the distortion of image while shooting indoor under lamplight, press the MODE button briefly to enter the menu, then push up/down button to select the mode you want. ( The default mode is automatic. )  Press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

4. Time Mark: On the date and time display menu, you can choose whether or not to make the LCD screen to display date and time. Press the MODE button to enter the menu, then push up/down button to select the mode you want. ( The default is display-on mode ) Press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

5.Time of camera shooting

On the menu for selecting time of video data segment reserving, you can  press MODE button to enter, , then press the up / allocated to select the appropriate mode (the system automatically saves the default 5-minute period) can press MODE button to confirm

Settings:

At the menu mode, press the video-button to select:

1. Format: Press the MODE button to enter the menu, then push the up/down button to select the mode you want. ( Attention: after you choose to format the memory of your SD card, the files in it will not be recovered. )

2. Language settings: There are nine foreign languages from which you can choose. Press the MODE menu to enter the menu, then push the up/down button to select the language you like. ( The default language is simplified Chinese . ) Press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

3. Automatic shutdown: Press the MODE button briefly to enter the the menu, then push the up/down button to select the mode you want. ( The default setting is that the recorder will automatically shutdown without any operation within three minutes. )  Press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

4. Restore The System: Press the MODE button to enter the menu, then push the up/down button to select the mode you want. ( Attention: After you restore the system, it will be restored to factory default settings )

5.Optical Frequency: : Press the MODE button to enter the menu, then push the up/down button to select the mode you want. ( The default setting is 60HZ ) Press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

6. The Video-output Format: Press the MODE button to enter the menu, then push the up/down button to select the mode you want. ( The default format is NTSC . ) Press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

7. Input The Date: To set the date and time and make the screen display them, press the MODE button to enter the menu, then push the up/down button to move the cursor to the setting options, then press the MODE button again. The date and time format is YYYY---MM—DD, year/month/day. Push the up/down button to set the sequence of year/month/day options, then press the left/right button to move the cursor, and  press the up/down button to set details of the year/month. day/hour/minute/second, lastly, press the MODE button briefly to confirm your setting.

8. USB: Press the MODE button to enter the menu, then push the up/down button to select the mode you want.

1 ) PC camera:

   Function: Before connecting it with PC, move the power switch to “ ON ” position . Wait for 7 to 10 seconds after you connect the recorder with PC through USB date line. CDV will produce a standard video device in the PC, which means that the camera can be used as a PC camera. You can also press up/down button to select the mode you like.

2)Disk Drive: (The Default Settings )

Function: Connect the recorder with PC through USB date line, then you can get access to the date transmission mode directly. Under the data transmission mode, you can copy or cut the video and photo data into PC. During the process of data transmission, the blue indicator light flashes; please quit the PC mobile device before you pull out the USB date line. ( Attention: The battery will be charged under the date transmission mode, and the red light is bright. )

9. Charging

   You can charge the CDV by connecting it with a PC, using the equipped power adaper or a car charger. While it is being charged, the red light is bright, and the red light will go out after the battery is fully charged. Attention: Before you charge the CDV, move the power switch to  “OFF”.

 

Infrared Function Description

 

Infrared (RF) Function

Description: When charger is working and light strength is lower than 5 lux, machine will automatically turn its RF on. The RF action radius is 5 ~ 10 meters. When light strength is more than 5 lux, the machine turns off the RF automatically. (RF will turn on/off the RF automatically according to light strength).
