Nd:YVO4 (Neodymium Doped Yttrium Orthovanadate), one of the most efficient crystals for diode pumping lasers especially for medium and low power density. Comparing with Nd:YAG, Nd:YVO4 has higher absorption coefficient to pumping light and larger stimulated-emission cross section. Nd:YVO4, coordinating with LBO, BBO, KTP nonlinear crystals, is able to obtain good frequency doubling making it an excellent crystal for all-solid-state lasers for near infrared, green, blue or ultraviolet ray output.
