Introduction:The Cry1Ac ELISA Kit is based on the sandwich immunochromatographic assay to detect Bt Cry1Ac in crop. Compared with instrumental analysis method, the kit has higher sensitivity and could be operated more quickly and conveniently.

Principle:The Cry1Ac ELISA Kit is based on the specific immuno-chemical reactions between antigen and antibody. In the test procedure, the sample is pre-incubated in microwells coated with monoclonal mouse antibody specific for Cry1Ac. Another anti-Cry1Ac antibody conjugated with horseradish peroxidase is then added into the well. During the two incubation steps any Cry1Ac present in the sample is bound to the well in an antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex. In the absence of Cry1Ac no conjugate will be bound. After washing to remove the sample and unbound conjugate, a solution containing TMB and hydrogen peroxide is added to the wells. Wells which contain Cry1Ac and hence bound conjugate will develop a purple color which is converted to orange when the enzyme reaction is terminated with sulphuric acid.
