Introduction:The Cry1 C ELISA Kit is based on the sandwich immunochromatographic assay to detect Bt Cry1 C in crop. Compared with instrumental analysis method, the kit has higher sensitivity and could be operated more quickly and conveniently.

Principle:The Cry1 C ELISA Kit is based on the specific immuno-chemical reactions between antigen and antibody. In the test procedure, the sample is pre-incubated in microwells coated with monoclonal mouse antibody specific for Cry1 C. Another anti- Cry1 C antibody conjugated with horseradish peroxidase is then added into the well. During the two incubation steps any Cry1 C present in the sample is bound to the well in an antibody-antigen-antibody-enzyme complex. In the absence of Cry1 C no conjugate will be bound. After washing to remove the sample and unbound conjugate, a solution containing TMB and hydrogen peroxide is added to the wells. Wells which contain Cry1 C and hence bound conjugate will develop a purple color which is converted to orange when the enzyme reaction is terminated with sulphuric acid.

Application:Detect Cry1 C in crop qualitatively and quantitatively.
