The PDC drilling bit is a new type of drilling bit whose matrix(or rigid body) has been embedded by artificial polycrystalline diamond cutting teeth. It is applicable to soft-medium hard formation because of its cutting edge which replaced by sharp, wear resistant and self-sharpenable PDC cutting teeth, its high drilling rate(2 times higher than cone bit) which could obtained at low drilling pressure, and its high-footage(4-6 times higher than cone bit). The drilling bit has no moving parts, could withstand high drilling rate, and could gain higher economic efficiency by conjunction with the downhole drilling motor. As a result, it is a strong competitor of the cone bit.
