ABS AH40 steel is a kind of high tensile strength shipbuilding steel. All ABS AH40 steels are standard hot rolled carbon steels. All of these steels have been engineered to be optimal long-lived shipbuilding steels. Higher-strength ABS shipbuilding steel comes in 12 grades of 3 strengths, AH40 is one of the grades.
