The float shoes and collars are used to guide the casing to be put into the hole. The structure is very similar between float shoes and float collar. The lower end of float collar is the pin connection which is connected with casing. The uper end which is used to fill the cement  has a cinqfoil hole which can avoid the twist.

The material of the float shoes body is the alloy steel.
