Self-aligning ball bearings have two types of cylindrical bore and tapered bore with steel or synthetic resin retainers. Their special outer ring raceway has self-aligning feature, which can compensate the error made by non-concentricity and shaft deflection, but the relative titling angle between inner and outer ring must less than 3℃.
