Compared to hydraulic power steering, there are many technical advantages.
1.Fuel consumption and environment- protective
Old hydraulic system keeps working when the motor runs, so it increases the fuel consumption by 3%-5%. However, EPS, taking the battery as energy and motor as driving element, can work independently from the engine with almost no direct consumption of fuel in engine.
So EPS is environment-protective and reduces the fuel consumption by electron control.
