The product is extracted from the dry rhizom and root of Polygonum Cuspidatun(belonging to the polygonaceae family), most regions of our country can find this raw material.

Description: Roots and rhizomes containing Anthraquinones compounds, eg. Emodin, Emodin-6-Physcion, Chrysophanol, Rhein and two kinds of Anthraquinones (A&B). Roots containing two kinds of stilbenes compound (resveratrol and Polydatin). In addition, some Tannin material and kinds of flavones compound. Characters is bitter and cold.

Pharmacoligy function: Dispelling wind and dampness from the body, dispelling blood  stasis and free from pain, anti-couch and reducing phlegm, anti-bacteria and inflammation, anti-cancer, anti-mutagenic activity, inhibiting coronary heart disease, arteriosclerosis and thrombosis.
