2. Property:
LABSA is a kind of weak organic acid. It is not inflammable substance and easy to dissolve in water, but not in organic solvent.
LABSA is quite absorbent and its biodegradability is above 90%.
Also LABSA can be neutralized with caustic soda (NaOH) to form sodium alkylbenzene
sulphonatean, extensively used as anionic surfactant.
