Product Description:
Copper clad aluminum (CCA ) wire is a bimetallic wire with a copper cladding concentrically covering an aluminum core. The CCA wire characterizes by both the small density of aluminum and the good conductivity of copper. The processing method of copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire is similar to that of copper wire during cable manufacture. This kind of bimetallic composite wire is suited for most electrical conductor applications. It is produced with the production process of cladding-welding-drawing method, by cladding copper stripe concentrically on the outer surface of the aluminum rod, several times of drawing and heat treatment, to mean customers' technical requirement on line diameter, mechanical property and electrical property.

Advantages of CCA wire:
Light-weight: CCA wire is about one-third of the weight of copper wire of the same thickness. This is extremely advantageous for reducing the weight of the coil.
DC resistance: CCA wire has about 1.5 times the DC resistance of copper wire. Because it is three times as light as copper wire, however, only one-half of the weight of copper wire is needed to handle the same current.
Soldering: Because the surface of the conductor of CCA wire is clad with copper, there is no need for special soldering as is the case with aluminum wire. Soldering can be done in exactly the same way as with copper wire.
