Fused cast AZS blocks are wildly used materials for both glass contacting and superstructure of glass melting furnaces. According to the content of zirconia, they are classified into 3 branches:
1. 32% ZrO2 : application for glass contacting (such as paving tiles, working-end) and superstructures.
2. 36% ZrO2 : the corrosion resistance was improved compared with 32% ZrO2 , better for melter sidewall application.
3. 40% ZrO2 : with the highest corrosion resistance among the AZS branches, used for all demanding glass contacting application, electrode blocks, submerged walls, throats and melter sidewalls.
