Sodium alginate powder
Sodium alginate (SA or NaAlg) colour ranges from white to yellowish-brown. It is sold in filamentous, granular or powdered forms. They are soluble in both hot and cold water, and can thicken and bind. In the presence of calcium and an acid some alginates can form resilient gels.
Sodium alginate category includes sodium alginate industry grade and sodium alginate food grade. High viscosity (HV), Middle viscosity (MV) and Low viscosity (LV) are available.
