The ball valve, as defined in GB/T21465-2008 “valve glossaries”, is a kind of valve whose closure member (ball) is driven by stem and rotates around the axis of stem. It is mainly used for blocking or connecting media in pipes, and can also be used for regulating and controlling fluid. Among them, the hard seal V type ball valve is especially suitable for media containing fiber and small solid particles as there is very strong shearing force between its V type ball and metal seat adopting hard alloy overlaying welding. Not only can the multi-way ball valve flexibly control medium diverging, converging and flow direction switching, but it can close any one of the passages to make the other passages connected. Generally, this kind of valve shall be installed horizontally in the pipe.
