Performance Characteristics:
Air-cooled hardening hot work die steel. good toughness, thermal fatigue resistance and abrasion resistance, and high hardenability.
Applications:
hot extrusion moulds and mandrels, forging mould of die-casting hammer; high-speed precision forging mould with inserts; die forging presses mould as well aluminum alloy die-casting mould, etc.

Process:
EAF+LF+VD+ESR+ Forged+ Annealed+Grinded/Machined
Annealed: 860-890°C, hardness ≤229HB
Quenching: 1020-1050°C, oil cooling or air cooling
Tempering: 560-580°C, hardness: 47-49HRC, twice tempering
Surface condition: black , grinded or machined/ turned.
Inspection: ultrasonic test, according to SEP1921 D/d or as your requirements.
