1. Service Drop-Aluminum Conductor
Duplex |
Construction
Concentric strand or compressed 1350-H19 conductor, polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene insulation, concentric strand AAC, ACSR or 6201 alloy neutral messenger.
Application
To supply 120 volt aerial service for temporary service at construction sites, outdoor or street lighting. For service at 600 volts or lower at a conductor temperature of 750C maximum. |
Triplex |
Construction
Concentric strand or compressed 1350-H19 conductor, polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene insulation, concentric strand AAC,ACSR or 6201 alloy neutral messenger.
Application
To supply power from the utility's lines to the consumer's weatherhead. For service at 600 volts or less (phase to phase) at a conductor temperature of 750C maximum for polyethylene insulation or 900C maximum for crosslinked insulation. |
Quadruplex |
Construction
Concentric strand or compressed 1350-H19 conductors, polyethylene or crosslinked polyethylene insulation (one insulated conductor ridged for phase identification), concentric strand AAC, ACSR or 6201 alloy neutral messenger.
Application
For aerial three phase power supply from the utility's line to the consumer's weatherhead. For service at 600 volts or less (phase to phase) at a conductor temperature of 750C maximum for polyethylene insulation or 900C maximum for crosslinked insulation. |
2. Specification
Designated sizes are ACSR 611 diameter equivalent and AAC with equivalent resistivity per ASTM B-399 FOR 6201. The code names as given apply to conventional polyethylene line wire. For cross-linked polyethylene, the suffix XLP should be added such as "Hombeam-XLP" Standards: ASTM B-230, B-231, B-232 and B-399, ICEA S-61-402 and S-66-524.
Packaging: Available in 500ft. coils for sizes 2 AWG and smaller and in long lengths on reels. REA Approved.
The above data are approximate and subject to normal manufacturing tolerances.
