Ecomann PHA is a new family of high performance semi-crystalline polyester copolymer thermoplastics. Derived from maize starch, Ecomann PHA is bio-based, sustainable, biocompatible and fully biodegradable. Unlike traditional plastics, Ecomann PHA is completely biodegradable in soil, salt water, home composting and industrial composting environments. In accordance to ASTM D6400 and EN13432 standards, Ecomann PHA will degrade by 90% within 180 days in a composting environment and will eventually turn into carbon dioxide and water. Additionally, Ecomann PHA is an FDA certified material.
