LK242 anaerobic medium strength blue thread locker( LOCTITE 242 EQUIVALENT )
LK242 is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require normal disassembly with standard hand tools.
The product cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Suitable for applications on less active substrates such as plated surfaces, where disassembly with hand tools is required for servicing.
The thixotropic nature of LK242 reduces the migration of liquid product after application to the substrate. It has specialty of lubrication to achieve exact clamping load.

Used to prevent loosening and leakage of threaded fasteners. Particularly suitable for applications such as pump or motor mounting bolts, engine rocker nuts or equipment housing screws, where disassembly with hand tools is required for servicing. Suitable for thread between M8~M20.
