By definition, flexible circuits, also known as “FPC (flexible printed circuits)”or “flex circuits”, is a pattern of conductors created on a bendable film that acted as an insulating (dielectric) base material. The top is coated with a dielectric cover layer. A flexible circuit is a pliable counterpart to a rigid printed circuit board. Flexible circuits, or "flex circuits", are often required to enable a more rapid construction of a device rather than their ability to turn and twist in normal operations.
