Super TD PIR(Polyisocyanurate) Pre Insulated Air Duct Panel (One Side Aluminium Composite Colour 200 Micron) is composed of a layer base from good fire retardant rigid PIR(polyisocyanurate) foam, covering one side with 75 micron thick aluminium foil coupled with layers of corrosion resistant paint, and 180~200 micron aluminium composite colour coupled on the other side.
Super TD PIR(Polyisocyanurate) Pre Insulated Air Duct Panel (One Side Aluminium Composite Colour 200 Micron) is approved by third party in Australia as per AS/NZS 1530.3-1999.the methods for fire tests on building materials, components and structures - Simultaneous determination of ignitability, flame propagation, heat release and smoke release. TD Pre-Insulated Aluminium Ducts is developed specially for the air distribution in HVAC fields and the answer to economical, technical, and constructive question.Many different material and system such as composite, PVC, etc had been developed as an alternative to the galvanized sheet metal used traditionally.TD Insulated Aluminium Ducts is the solution. It is a sandwich panel composed of a layer base from good fire retardant rigid PU(polyurethane) or PIR(polyisocyanurate) foam covering both sides with aluminium foil, the aluminium guarantees sturdiness and withstand corrosion in long term use. Its application has been gradually extended to all types of air distribution system such as industrial, commercial and civil.
Traditionally, air ductwork is made of sheet metal which is installed first and then lagged with insulation as a secondary operation. Ductwork manufactured from TD rigid insulation panels does not need any further insulation and is installed in a single fix. Light weight and installation speed are among the features of preinsulated aluminium ductwork, also custom or special shapes of ducts can be easily fabricated in the shop or on site.
The ductwork construction starts with the tracing of the duct outline onto the aluminium preinsulated panel, then the parts are typically cut at 45 degree, bent if required to obtain the different fittings (i.e. elbows, tapers) and finally assembled with glue. Aluminium tape is applied to all seams where the external surface of the aluminium foil has been cut. A variety of flanges are available to suit various installation requirements. All internal joints are sealed with sealant.
