Specifications

1.      Application
This line is designed to produce φ8mm low oxygen and bright copper rods by means of continuous casting and rolling. The raw material is cathode copper or red copper scraps. This line is composed of one or two 6-100 ton stationary reverberatory furnace(s), five-wheel casting machine, pulling machine, rolling shearer, straightener & angle shaver, cast bar brushing machine, rolling machine, bright rod orbital coiler, electrical control system, etc. The 12t/h melting shaft furnace and 12t holding furnace are provided when copper cathode are used.
 
2.      Brief Technological Process
Red copper scraps of grade one or grade two (putting raw material) →stationary reverberatory furnace(melting and refining) →launder (protecting the melt) →casting ladle→continuous casting machine(casting bars) →bar casting treatment unit(shearing→straighting→shaving angles→removing scraps) →rolling mill entrance(sending materials automatically) →continuous rolling machine(rolling rods) →copper rod cooling unit(rod surface reverting) →Continuous annular swinging rod unit(coiling rods for the first time) →double orbital take-up machine (coiling copper rods)
 
3.      Requirement of raw material (red copper scraps)
The melting shaft furnace and holding furnace require standard copper cathode of National Grade One to be raw materials.
 
If old red copper is used, it must be the red copper scraps of grade one or grade two.
a)      Copper scraps of grade one (Pb<100, Sn<300, Ni<50, Zn<50, Fe<50, Sb<20): composed of clean, non-alloy copper wires without tin-plate, which must not include fragment-inclining burnt wires.
b)      Copper scraps of grade two (Pb<1000, Sn<800, Ni<150, Zn<300, Fe<500, Sb<100, S<200): composed of copper wires of small diameter, which are not isolated, such as telephone wire, copper wire with varnish or paper insulator on them and clean red copper tubes.
