Isothermal Adsorption Process
1. Lifting Samples
Pretreatment of the coal sample is accurately weighed and quickly into the model. Sample weight: about 2kg. Industrial analysis implements are in accordance with GB/T212991 of coal sample industrial analysis method.
2. Air Tightness Inspection
2.1 Air Inflation
Filled with Helium to system, the pressure is higher than highest pressure 1MPa of isothermal adsorption experiment. System temperature is adjusted to reservoir temperature. Continuously observe for the system seal condition if good, go to next experiment.
3. Free Space Volume Measurement
3.1 Temperature
System temperature is adjusted to reservior temperature.
3.2 Inflation
Open the cylinder, inflate Helium gas to system, adjust standard pressure valve, and then close the standard room valve.
3.3 Data Acquisition
Open the valve of standard room and sample cylinder, collect the data after pressure balance, do the volume experiment twice. The allowable error is ±0.1cm3.
3.4 Calculate the coal volume and get the blank volume of sample room
4. Isothermal Adsorption Experiment
4.1 Ensure Experiment Pressure
The highest experiment pressure is set up to 1.2 times of reservoir . The minimum pressure is 8MPa.
4.2 Experiment Pressure Spot Distribution
When highest pressure is lower than 8MPa, choose 6 experiment spots; Highest pressure between 8MPa to 12MPa, choose 7 experiment spots; Highest pressure >12MPa, choose 8 experiment spots.
4.3 Inflation
Open regulated valve and standard room Valve, inflate methane to system and adjust the standard room pressure to ideal pressure.
4.4 Data Collection
After get the ideal pressure and stable temperature, start the data collection of the isothermal adsorption experiment program.
4.5 Ensure Time of Adsorption Balance
More than 12 hours at least
4.6 Repeat
Step 3-5 until the end of experiment.
