Double-deep rack is a variation of normal Selective pallet Rack where the pallets are stored two deep, or four pallets deep in a double entry rack. This style of racking allows each front pallet to be removed or put away as per normal selective rack, with a second pallet stored behind.
The advantage of this type of racking is 'storage density' allowing more racking and less aisles in your warehouse. 50% immediate pallet access provides reasonable stock rotation on a FILO (First In Last Out) basis and makes good use of all available locations.
